I completed the Cyber Security (Red Team) 565h program at HackerU in collaboration with the Warsaw University which demonstrates that I acquired advanced knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, with a particular emphasis on offensive techniques characteristic of the Red Team role. This program provided me with comprehensive preparation for simulating attacks and identifying vulnerabilities in IT systems, based on the latest trends and threats in cyberspace.
During the course, I developed the following competencies:
Knowledge of operating systems: I gained a thorough understanding of Linux and Windows Server 2016 systems, including their architecture, security mechanisms, and potential vulnerabilities.
Bypassing security measures: I mastered advanced techniques for bypassing network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, which allows me to effectively simulate attacks and identify weaknesses in IT infrastructure.
Security monitoring and analysis: I understand the principles of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems and their role in detecting and responding to security incidents. I can analyze security logs and identify anomalies that indicate potential attacks.
Privilege escalation: I acquired the ability to escalate privileges in Linux and Windows systems, which allows me to simulate attacks from the perspective of someone with limited privileges and identify vulnerabilities that allow taking control of the system.
Knowledge of advanced network infrastructure: I gained knowledge of advanced network configurations, communication protocols, and security mechanisms used in corporate networks. I can analyze network architecture and identify potential attack vectors.
Python programming: My ability to program in Python allows me to automate cybersecurity tasks such as information gathering, vulnerability scanning, and malware analysis.
Security incident analysis: I learned about real-world examples of data breaches and cyberattacks, which allows me to better understand threats and plan defensive actions more effectively.
Offensive hacking techniques: I mastered a wide range of offensive hacking techniques, including social engineering methods, attacks on web and mobile applications, and exploiting vulnerabilities in operating systems and software.
Threat hunting: I can proactively identify and analyze threats in IT systems using advanced tools and data analysis techniques.
Completing the Cyber Security (Red Team) program at HackerU was an important step in my professional development. The qualifications I gained allow me to effectively perform tasks related to security testing, attack simulation, and protecting IT systems from cyber threats.
To achieve the HackerU certification, I had to pass 8 out of 10 written exams with a minimum score of 70% and successfully complete 8 out of 10 practical projects.
